    I have found the most difficult thing with any diet is the calorie counting and the preparation of the food. It is hard enough on the body to accept the different foods we give it. On top of that we need to overwork our brain to decide what to eat.

    Agree with you here, that things should be taken slowly, and have a plan to follow.

    But while a good diet plan is important, I think a good workout is as equally important. I always like to plan one day of swimming per week, on another day play some tennis, and the third day a nice run through the park. And between these days, if I feel the need, I just go out for a walk, and take my dog with me, this way we both get some exercise.

  • Fast weight loss often happens for the first week or two when you go on a low calories diet, like eating just a couple of small meals a day. However once your body realises it is going very short on calories it thinks it is starving so slows its metabolism right down in order to hold onto the energy/fat that it does have in order to stay alive. Eating regularly does the opposite to this and is the key to long term weight loss!
